AHH! Women's A Cappella Barbershop Chorus
We belong to an international sisterhood of over 27,000 a cappella singers called "Sweet Adelines International, a worldwide organization of women singers committed to advancing the musical art form of barbershop harmony through education and performance". The opportunities for friendship and camaraderie, travel and personal growth are limitless. We offer top quality, eclectic, a cappella entertainment.
We have grown to over 40 singers of all ages, all walks of life, and all parts of the Conejo Valleyarea and beyond.
We are educators, business professionals, medical personnel, engineers, accountants, mothers, singles, wives, sisters... and we celebrate our common bond as women and singers. Bound by singing, there are no age, race or religious limitations.
Performance
We love to perform! We produce our own shows and sing in public venues for a variety of clients. We sing at annual shows, a number of community events, and at an annual competition. We also deliver Singing Telegrams for Valentines Day. We are available to perform at your next function or event. Education
In addition to sharing our music with others, our singers thrive on education and Sweet Adelines offers opportunities for personal and musical growth and the joy of singing in an ensemble. Vocal instruction is a regular part of chorus rehearsals, and a very important component of the chorus experience. Several times a year, we will get coaching from a visiting master in the art of A Capella Harmony, where we learn many fabulous tricks of the trade.
Competition
To hone our vocal skills we also participate in regional and international competitions. In the spring of every year, AHH! Chorus participates in the Region 11 chorus competition in Bakersfield, CA. Competitions are a special time for quartets and choruses from our region to come together to sing for each other, and get some constructive feedback from a panel of judges. The winners of the regional competition in both quartet and chorus categories get to travel to International Competition, which is held in the fall in a city selected each year. In 2015, International Competition will be held in Las Vegas, NV.
Quartets
Most choruses have a number of members who form their own vocal quartets in addition to singing with the chorus. AHH! Chorus currently is home to several quartets, and we are very proud of them! Click here to learn more about our Quartets.

AHH! Chorus is a proud chapter of Sweet Adelines International, a non-profit organization of approximately 30,000 members in choruses and quartets, worldwide.
